My life desire is to actively pursue a versatile and dynamic career in both vocal and choral performing arts based upon a solid educational background, excellent vocal/choral training, hard work, and the use of self-expression in order to impact the musical arts of the future, while continuing to honor the works of the past.

Education

Brenten is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College, where he earned a B.M. in Vocal Performance and a B.A. in Biblical Studies with honors. He continued his education receiving two M.M. Degrees in Voice and Choral Conducting from West Chester University.

Personal Profile

I inherited my musical abilities from my great-grandfather who began as a boy soloist and continued an avid solo/choral involvement up into his 70s. My mother tells me that my love of choral music began, when I was still in her womb, and would move in time to choral music. At the age of seven I would spend my Christmas money on cantatas and then proceed to organize my family into sections and conduct them. At the age of twelve, I had the opportunity to direct a youth ensemble. I began singing choral works, by the masters, at age ten. I was honored to be the first high school student ever accepted into the Lancaster Symphony Chorus. My love of both vocal solo and choral music has remained a constant. My goal in life is to use my God given talent, academic education, and varied experience to pursue a future in the musical arts, in order to give God the glory, and to share my music with others, in order to touch their lives.
